Wanna Trade A Sentence for a Book?

FreeBook

My life is often stuck in the gear of busy. I usually don’t mind it; however, with so much on my plate, I have not had the time to dedicate to blogging that I wish I could. I have three sites waiting to transform from Model-T to Mustang and this one that is wanting a new paint job. But it got me thinking about what is “under the hood” of the sites. I have a purpose for each site which influences its content and makeup but do the few readers understand the purpose? So I had a thought: I’ll trade you a book for a sentence.

I am looking for you to define, in your own words, the purpose of NRJohnson.me . . . in one sentence. If I asked you the “Why?” of the site, how would you respond? I am not interested in you writing what I want you to say – I want to hear what YOU have to say.

So here’s the trade:

Give me one hand-crafted sentence that sums up NRJohnson.me and you’ll be entered in a drawing for a free book. Write your sentence in the comment section below (make sure you include your name and email in the spaces provided) and I will randomly pick a winner on Friday June 10, 2011.

The book? One of the top five books, outside the Bible, that have influenced my life the most: The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence. This hundred page pocked-sized book may be small in stature but mammoth in meaning. Learn how to have daily-intimate oneness with Jesus in this simple yet profound book.

Note: Comments have to be approved before they show up – so after clicking “submit comment” be patient; it should be seen within a few hours. The winner will be selected randomly and announced on Friday June 10, 2011. One entry limited to each individual.

I haven’t been following this blog for very long so I can only answer my impression of this site over a very short time span. I would say that the purpose of nrjohnson.me is… “To connect and encourage readers in living a life centered around Christ, by providing original content along with outside resources to equip the growing Christian.”

The purpose of NRJohnson.me is to spur a generation of weak, namby-pamby believers into radical, selfless, historic, world-altering Christianity for the glory of God.

Our internet has been going crazy, so I didn’t write this in time – but here’s a sentence anyways, even though it’s late :)
The purpose of NRJohnson.me is to call forth a band of believers to return to the historic, heroic Christianity of the Bible and give everything they have and are for the One who gave His very life.
